Höglund is Associate Professor and Director for The Centre for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies, Linnaeus University. The Centre focuses on portraying a more multifaceted and balanced view of history including taking into account multiple observers and new approaches. Höglund is a productive researcher in the Humanities and well regarded in the field. He has a notable publication record on postcolonial studies, popular culture and imperialism, and Nordic colonialism.
