Issue of diplomas
Diplomas are issued for year groups/classes about 3 weeks after the final grade has been announced. If enquiry about grade is submitted, it can take even longer.
Students who are delayed in their course of study and because of that deviate from a normal course of study are responsible for ordering diplomas themselves. Diplomas can be ordered by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Diplomas are sent by registered mail to your specified address. The correct name and address must be registed in Studentweb. Students are responsible for providing an up-to-date and accurate record of personal information to the institution.
The Diploma Supplement is an international document provided with a diploma to give a detailed description of the qualifications attained by a candidate.
All graduates from VID will automatically and free of charge receive a Diploma, and a Diploma Supplement upon graduation. The Diploma Supplement is issued in English, and provides a description of the programme of study and the degree that has been awarded to the student. The purpose of the Diploma Supplement is to create transparency in higher education and facilitate academic recognition for further studies.

If your diploma was permanently lost or destroyed a replacement/duplicate diploma can be issued, for a fee of NOK 700. A replacement/duplicate diploma will be issued when the fee has been received. If you need a replacement/duplicate, please e-mail email@example.com.
Exam retake, improvement of grades
Students who wish to improve their grades on courses that are included in a degree can postpone the diploma issue for up to one year. Please be aware that improved grades will be notified on your diploma. The diploma will not include the original grade. Application must be received by the university college within 3 weeks after the announcement of grades. Send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you don't use your right to postpone the issuing of your diploma, and you later on improve some of your grades included in your degree, a transcript will be issued to confirm your improvement(s).

The Norwegian Directorate of Health is responsible for granting authorisation required for all categories of professions within the legally regulated health sector.
VID will register candidates who has completed a degree in Altinn with their year gruoup/class. Communication from The Norwegian Directorate of Health regarding payment of handling fee is by e-mail, please ensure that you have a correct e-mail address registered in Studentweb.
Students who complete their degrees earlier/later than their year group/class must apply themselves.
