Supervision of professional training – Social Work
Supervision of professional training – Social Work

We need competent supervisors who can meet each student’s learning needs and encourage academic and personal growth. The University offers a 15 ECTS specialization programme for student supervisors.
The programme complies with the requirements of the Norwegian Union of Social Educators and Social Workers (FO) – 40 hours counselling theory and counselling methodology, which is a prerequisite to obtain approval as a student supervisor through the FO. Knowledge and skills from this programme may also be transferred to other types of academic supervision.
A prerequisite for admission to this programme is that you have a student, engaging in fieldwork practice, for whom you are the academic supervisor.
The specialization programme comprises three sessions whilst you are supervising a student engaged in fieldwork practice. The programme includes written and oral coursework requirements in addition to the curriculum. The type of assessment is home examination.
