Theology and Religion are two distinct scholarly fields which historically represented rather different research perspectives on religious faith. The program is geared towards critical reflection on these traditions and the spectre of methods they represent.
As such, the program offers an interdisciplinary context for one's specialized concentration, whether it is sacred texts and their Interpretation, systematic theology, ethics, historical and cultural Studies of religion, or empirical research on religious practice.
Please see our Research education pages for exhaustive information about the PhD programmes, and how to apply.
